about Glenda Procter...

Deciding on a Celebrant for your special ceremony is not easy – you want everything to be perfect- and I can promise you a ceremony which will meet your highest expectations.

From our first contact I will involve myself fully in your special day. It is vital to me that from the outset you feel relaxed and confident with the advice and support I can give you using my experience in conducting many varied kinds of ceremonies. I promise that together we can create something unique for the two of you, something that reflects your style and beliefs.

The text of your ceremony and my delivery of it will greatly influence the mood and tone of your celebration for you and all your guests. My ceremonies can include the chance to sing a hymn or song. I can assure you that by combining the right amount of intimacy, reverence and humour I can provide you with an experience which you will always treasure- one of truly personal and spiritual fulfilment.

It is my aim to make you feel relaxed and happy on your special day and as the person physically nearest to you at that most poignant of moments I can guide you both discreetly and seamlessly through the ceremony, ensuring that nerves are calmed and excitement controlled!

I will also ensure that all your friends are briefed and supported in their individual roles- that everyone knows what to do and how to do it- whether they are your key witnesses, delivering a reading or poem or participating in your candle or sand ceremony. I will include thanks to all those participating and, if you wish, provide appropriate photo opportunities throughout the ceremony.

Before I started creating bespoke informal ceremonies for people I worked in the Registration Service for several years as a seasonal marriage registrar. So I know firsthand how inadequately prepared many couples are prior to exchanging their most intimate vows.  I know they appreciate choices as to how their ceremony is conducted.

I believe that it is not up to the Celebrant to decide what can or cannot be included-you have the right to the wedding or ceremony most befitting your beliefs -and I will do my utmost, using all my experience to make your dreams come true. I will always do my very best for you as a couple and will make your service/ceremony the finest it can be. Because every couple deserves to feel on Cloud 9!

I consider myself really lucky because I think I have the best job in the world-bringing happiness to people! I love every minute of my work as an Independent Celebrant. I am conscientious and caring and the numerous testimonials from couples make me feel very privileged to be a part of their day.
