I say Handfastings without hesitation! I have been drawn to Handfastings as a specialist celebrant and this has developed over the years to become my USB! I love all ceremonies and have conducted both Naming and Funerals over the years, but my heart is in the love and joy of Wedding Celebrations.

I most certainly do. I belonged to  FOIC. The Fellowship of Independent Celebrants, for many years. They provided me with working insurance of £5 million public liability and also Personal Indemnity. I am also a member of several other online Celebrant groups.

Since 2006. I have conducted many hundreds of legal marriages in my role as a marriage registrar, after joining the registration service, where I worked for seven seasons. Since retiring, I have continued to conduct non – legal Wedding Celebrations as an Independent Celebrant.

My years as a marriage registrar taught me the foundations of my business. Working as an in Independent Celebrant has opened the door to so many more ideas, opportunities and experiences. As an Independent Celebrant conducting wedding ceremonies throughout. I have also taught celebrants, to be celebrants! In a ‘previous life’ I was a secondary school teacher and have taught and tutored all my life.

I have conducted two ceremonies for ITV’s ‘4WEDDINGS’ which were televised nationally . One of these brides was 40 minutes late! I have also conducted other celebrity ceremonies. My lips are sealed regarding these, as I have to sign a NDA. (Non Disclosure Agreement).   

I will wear whatever you would like me to wear! I have many elegant suits and dresses of different colors and styles and would also be happy to fit into a ‘theme’ if normal clothing is not the order of the day! Whether your ceremony is casual and less formal or more formal and elegant evening affair, I will make every effort to look elegant and distinguished in whatever I wear. Being a non-denominational celebrant, I will not wear religious robes or vestments. I will however be pleased to don a robe for a Handfasting ceremony.
